Online auction sites like eBay have become increasingly popular. On these sites, you can buy or sell just about anything, from clothes to collectibles. While you can often find a bargain, some collectibles have sold for extremely high prices.

The most expensive video game ever sold was a sealed 1985 Super Mario Bros. video game, which sold for a whopping $2 million.
Patrick Mahomes Autographed NFL Card

This card was most expensive NFL card ever sold. A card autographed by Patrick Mahomes sold for $4.3 million. Other sports cards have also sold for high prices, including a 1979 Wayne Gretzky card, $3.75 million and an autographed LeBron James card $5.2 million.
Black Lotus Magic the Gathering Card

Another type of collector card, a Magic the Gathering Black Lotus card, in mint condition sold for $511,100. There were only 1,100 of these cards ever made.
1962 Spiderman Comic Collectibles

Can you imagine spending $3.6 million on a comic book? Somebody did. Not only that, someone else paid $3.36 million for a single page from another Spiderman comic book.
1933 Double Eagle Coin

Coins have always been collectible, but a $20 double eagle coin sold for a massive $18.9 million. These coins were never circulated and most were melted down, so there’s only a few left.
1897 Red Revenues Chinese Stamp Set

The set of 4 Chinese stamps known as the Red Revenues sold for $18.8 million. These stamps were printed in 1897, close to the end of the Qing Dynasty.
Lindbergh Matchbook

Matchbox collecting is known as Phillumeny, and they are a fun thing to collect. The most expensive matchbook sold at auction was the Lindbergh matchbook, which sold for $6,000. This matchbook was created in 1927 and the one that sold at auction was missing 4 matches.
Disney 101 Dalmatians VHS Tape

Disney’s Black Diamond Series VHS tapes are highly collectible and worth a lot of money. A 101 Dalmatians tape sold for $14,000. A Beauty and the Beast VHS sold for $10,000 and a Little Mermaid VHS sold for $9,500.
1979 Boba Fett Figure

The rocket-firing Boba Fett figurine sold at auction for $157,500. It’s valuable because it’s rare. Only a few were produced because of concerns about safety as the rocket-firing system had some issues.
Stefano Canturi Barbie

The Stefano Canturi Barbie is the most expensive Barbie in the world. It sold at a charity auction for over $300,000. This doll sports a real diamond necklace and diamond solitaire ring. The 1959 original Barbie dolls are also highly collectible and one in mint condition sold for $27,450.
McDonald’s Mulan Szechuan Sauce

How much would you pay for a pack of McDonald’s dipping sauce? The Mulan Szechuan sauce was made to dip McNuggets in. A pack sold at auction for $14,700. Proceeds from the sale were donated to charity.
1982 World’s Fair Edition Pez Dispenser

The astronaut-themed Pez dispenser was made for the 1985 World’s Fair and one sold for auction for $32,205. Other collectible Pez dispensers include the 1970s Mary Poppins and any superhero dispensers made before 1989.
Air Jordans Worn by Michael Jordan

Designer shoes and sneakers are highly collectible, but I’m not sure I’d want to collect a worn pair. But, someone paid $560,000 for a pair of Air Jordans originally worn by Michael Jordan. But, the highest priced sneakers sold at auction were a prototype pair of Nike Air Yeezy 1’s which sold for $1.8 million.
1001 Night Diamond Purse

The 1001 Night Diamond Purse is made by Swiss Emirati company Mouawad. It sold at auction for $3.8 million, making it the most expensive bag sold to date. Other bags that sold for a high price include the Hermes Birkin Kelly Rose Gold, $2 million, and a Hermes Birkin diamond and platinum bag, designed by Gin Tanaka, $1.4 million.
