There is plenty of entertainment in the great midwestern state of Wisconsin. The Badger State is home to much more than the Packers and cheese (although, what else do you need in life?). The state is a fantastic place for families to enjoy an unforgettable vacation. Think about adding these sites to your itinerary the next time you travel through Wisconsin.
1. Cave Point County Park

Cave Point County Park sits on the peninsula of Sturgeon Bay and attracts both locals and tourists to its majestic views of Lake Michigan. The 900 feet of wave-worn Dolomite and limestone ledges are a popular location for scuba divers, kayakers, fishermen, and nature lovers. Families can enjoy a great day picnicking, biking, or renting kayaks to explore the many shoreline sea caves.
2. Cady Cheese Factory

No visit to Wisconsin is complete without a proper cheese factory tour! Wisconsin produces more cheese than any other state in the country. Cady Cheese Factory in Wilson, WI, alone produces over 50,000 pounds of cheese annually. Visitors can munch on free samples while they observe how workers make their signature Colby, Cheddar, Monterey Jack, and Gouda.
3. Discovery World in Milwaukee

The mission of Discovery World is simple: spread the joy of exploration and imagination through science and discovery. Visitors can explore exhibits like flight simulators, rocket launchers, aquariums, and life-sized building blocks. With seasonal rotations of exhibits and displays, you never know what you will discover on your next visit.
4. Cheer on the Milwaukee Brewers

Baseball games can be pricey, but weekday games cost as little as $18. If you and your family are baseball fans, American Family Field, where the Brewers play, is an incredible experience. The dome is gorgeous, and the team will be good this year (hopefully). Grab some hot dogs and get ready to enjoy a major league baseball game.
5. Tour Lambeau Field and Packer’s Hall of Fame

The Green Bay Packers are among the oldest and most respected football teams in the United States. The Legendary Lambeau Field, built in 1957, is considered one of the most iconic stadiums in all sports. For $18, you can walk on the same field that NFL legends play on. Be sure to check out the Packer’s Hall of Fame to learn about the league’s smallest town, which has one of the biggest fan bases.
6. Bay Beach Amusement Park

Do you want to spend an afternoon at an amusement park without spending at amusement park prices? Bay Beach Amusement Park has been entertaining visitors to Green Bay for over a century, and the best part is that it has yet to raise its prices. For $.25 to $1, you can ride rides like a Ferris wheel, tilt-a-whirl, giant slide, and Zippin’ Pippin’ Roller Coaster. The park has 23 rides with options for all ages, so grab your quarters and get down to Bay Beach!
7. Mining and Rollo Jamison Museums

The museum is located in Platteville’s Downtown and Historic District, above the 1845 Bevans Lead Mine. Visitors can tour the underground mine and take a train ride to learn about lead and zinc mining in the region. Above ground, you can see artifacts and a glimpse of what life was like for settlers of the area in the mid-19th century.
8. Cave of the Mounds in Blue Mounds

If you enjoyed the thrill of exploring underground caves at the mining museum, you will love Cave of the Mounds. The cave is paved and well-lit, so visitors of all ages are welcome to experience the amazing limestone walls and unique rock structures. The grounds also have a butterfly garden, replica gemstone dig, and gift shop to remember your underground adventure.
9. Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison

Do your kids love animals? Of course, they do; who doesn’t? Madison is home to the Henry Villas Zoo, which aims to protect animals worldwide. Entrance is free, but you can book a tour for a behind-the-scenes tour for $25 per person. The zoo has many exotic animals like lions, tigers, alligators, lemurs, giraffes, red pandas, and polar bears.
10. The Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf in Wisconsin Dells

After spending a whole day splashing and sliding down some of the country’s best water slides, head over to Pirates Cove Adventure Golf for some fun family competition. The center has five different courses to test your putting skills.
11. Devil’s Lake State Park

If you want to enjoy the great outdoors, plan a trip to Devil’s Lake in Baraboo. Pick a campsite, set up your tents, and you and your family are ready for an unforgettable weekend. Campers can enjoy biking, kayaking, fishing, boating, hiking, and swimming in this outdoor lovers’ paradise.
12. EAA Aviation Museum

The Aviation Museum in Oshkosh is one of the world’s most extensive museums dedicated to aviation. Visitors will want to set some time aside to explore their collection of over 200 vintage airplanes. One of the cooler options this facility offers is free introductory flights in a vintage plane for kids aged 8 to 17. Yes, you heard that right. You can book a free flight in an aircraft from the 1920s. How cool is that?
13. Wisconsin Deer Park

The Wisconsin Deer Park in Wisconsin Dells is a 40-acre interactive zoo with special feeding areas. Kids can feed friendly deer, goats, and elk while learning about the park’s efforts to help these animals. Although you won’t want to hand-feed them, the park also has bison, raccoons, and lemurs for visitors to see.
14. Dells Lost Temple

The Lost Temple is just down the way from Deer Park. The replica Mayan Temple lures visitors through dark mazes with puzzles to solve along the way. For $5, it is a fun adventure for families looking for a spooky experience.
15. Ghost Outpost at Wisconsin Dells

You don’t have to wait for Halloween to explore a haunted house in Wisconsin Dells. For only $5, your kids can face their fears in front of animatronic monsters and ghouls. You might want to do this before the feeding zoo so the kids aren’t afraid of the deer eating their hands off.
16. Alligator Alley Adventure

If you weren’t scared at the Ghost Outpost, test your courage at Alligator Alley Adventures. You can get hands-on with one of the world’s most dangerous predators here. Visitors can feed hungry alligators, hold giant snakes, observe giant snapping turtles, and see a rare two-headed snake. Are you brave enough to hold a baby alligator in your bare hands? Find out on your next visit.
