In the early 1950s, Sir Hugh Beaver, the managing director of the Guinness Book of World Records, discussed the fastest game bird in the world with another hunter. He couldn’t find any information in any book, which later inspired him to create Guinness as a book to help settle arguments.

Fastest Five Meters on a Scooter by a Parrot

Chico the cockatoo rode a bird-sized scooter 16.4 feet in 14.58 seconds to break his own record. Five days earlier, he’d rode his scooter 16.4 feet in 17.79 seconds.

At the National Beard and Mustache Championships in Casper, Wyoming, Paul Slosar from Summerville, South Carolina, has his 2-foot, 1-inch mustache officially verified, earning him the Guinness World Record title.
