Since smartphones have become must-have devices, the software applications they support are integral to our lives. There are apps for many things, from fitness to cooking and time management to food delivery. Despite their abundance, there are still some apps that people would love to have that still need to be created. Imagine how much easier life would be if they did!
1. Automatic Phone Finder

Smartphones today are so compact and lightweight that it’s easy to put them down and not remember where. If you’re lucky, someone can call your phone to help you find it. But what if there isn’t anyone around? What if your phone is on silent mode? A game-changer would be an app that automatically finds your phone at the sound of your voice.
2. Gasoline Delivery

Today, delivery apps exist for restaurants, grocery stores, retail shops, and even wine and spirits. Imagine how convenient it would be to have an app allowing users to request a fill of their car’s gas tank at their location instead of driving to a gas station. This would be especially beneficial for people who dislike pumping gas or are busy and can’t get to a gas station.
3. Pet Reader

Pet parents want to ensure their fur babies are well cared for and have everything they need to be happy and healthy. Dogs and cats have unique body language that indicates when they’re happy, depressed, lonely, or feeling under the weather. Often, it’s hard to tell. A software program that could scan a pet and provide real-time feedback on its condition would help owners know if a vet visit is warranted.
4. School Notifications

Many school systems rely on websites, emails, text messages, and flyers sent home to parents and guardians informing them about upcoming school events, delays, closures, etc. If each school or district had an app, families would have access to all the information they need in a centralized location instead of having to locate it from different sources.
5. Price Comparisons

Savvy consumers look for the best prices when shopping in person or online. Why pay more than you have to? But comparing prices can be a hassle and impractical. A software program that lets consumers scan or upload a photo of an item they want to purchase and automatically locates the vendors with the lowest prices would save a lot of time, effort, and money.
6. Housecleaning

For those who don’t relish cleaning the house and washing dishes, an app that generates an AI assistant capable of performing household tasks around the house is the next logical step from virtual home assistants like Amazon’s Alexa, Google Nest, and Apple’s Siri. This may be just a fantasy, but with rapidly developing technology, nothing can be ruled out in the future!
7. Kitchen Grocery Scanner

When creating your grocery lists, searching through kitchen cabinets and pantries to figure out what you have on hand and what you need to buy can be a tedious, time-consuming task. An app that scans the contents of your food supplies and automatically creates a list of what you have on hand and how much takes the guesswork out of the process.
8. Mobile Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors

A software application like this could save lives, especially if there are no home smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in a dwelling or they’re not working because of battery issues. This software would provide early alerts to give people time to safely evacuate a home or building that’s on fire or is filling up with carbon monoxide at a critical time when seconds count.
9. A Replicator

Fans from any part of the Star Trek television and movie franchise have probably, at one point or another in their lives, wished to have a replicator device that would automatically prepare meals without having to break out a single pot or pan and not have to cook over a hot stove. A software program that could replicate cooking would be rather awesome.
10. Grocery Aisle Map

An app that helps shoppers navigate through a grocery store in real-time identifies the aisles and lets users find specific aisles based on the products they wish to buy. It is a great way to appeal to shoppers who want to avoid walking around a large store fruitlessly searching for the items they came to buy. Using the app, shoppers can navigate directly to the aisles they need.
11. Shopping Mall Map

When shopping at an unfamiliar mall, finding and using physical mall maps to find a particular store can be daunting, especially in larger shopping malls. A software app that shows the user their precise location within a mall and provides real-time directions and location updates saves a lot of unnecessary steps. It could also be used to find someone lost inside the mall.
