Foods Most People Can’t Afford: Bone Broth
Blame it on the recent health fads that promote the consumption of bone broth for various health benefits. People are gulping broth by the gallons, and what used to be a kitchen staple is now a fancy delicacy. Quite frankly, it’s not advisable to consume store-bought bone broth because you’ll spend a lot of money on something you can prepare at home.
Save all the bones and cartilage you cannot eat and freeze them in bags. Once you have enough of these bones, you can prepare your broth. Just throw them into a pot of water with a little vinegar and let it simmer for a few hours. Your ridiculously cheap collagen-rich broth will also taste better than store-bought bone broth!
Lean Meat

Lean meat has become expensive worldwide. Lean cuts of beef, pork, poultry, and lamb have all become inaccessible due to supply deficits and an increasing demand for high-quality protein sources.
Although animal protein is essential for your health, you probably don’t need to consume as much as you think you must. To ensure you always have an adequate quantity of protein-rich foods, purchase bulk meat and freeze it in advance. You can also substitute lean meat with organ meat or less desirable cuts.
Wild-Caught Seafood

Due to overfishing and various commercial factors, fish has become unaffordable. Wild-caught seafood is even rarer and generally very pricey. Although farmed fish is readily available depending on where you live, it may not taste as good as wild-caught seafood.
